YES, THIS SO MUCH. We’ve actually been studying this issue in one of my animal sciences classes, and it’s just so sad that there are a lot of places that actually enforce breed-specific legislation that bans pit bulls.

When these laws get put into effect, all pit bull owners are forced to face a decision to either move to another city/state that allows pit bulls or euthanize their dog. These are loving and friendly dogs with loving and caring responsible owners that are being affected. Not to mention the fact that breed-specific legislation is NOT solving the problem of dog aggressiveness/dog biting because the pit bulls themselves are not the problem. It’s the irresponsible owners who train their dogs to be aggressive because they want guard dogs or they want them as weapons.

Agreeing with this so hard.
